Welcome to Springhill Getaways. By making a booking through our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

1. About Us

Springhill Getaways offers holiday accommodation at:

  • Springhill Cottage, Yorkshire, UK

  • Springhill Studio, Yorkshire, UK

  • Champredon, La Creuse, France

These properties are owned and managed by Dan and Elaine Clarke.

2. Making a Booking

Bookings can be made through our website, Lodgify, Airbnb, or other authorised booking platforms.

A booking is confirmed once:

  • The required payment has been received.

  • You receive a booking confirmation email.

The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and is responsible for all guests staying at the property.

3. Payment and Cancellation Policy

Springhill Cottage and Springhill Studio

To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid 14 days before your arrival date.

If the full balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

All payments made, including the initial deposit and any balance payments, are non refundable.

No security deposit is required.

Guests may cancel their booking within 48 hours of making the reservation if the booking was made sufficiently in advance of the arrival date. After this period, all payments made are non refundable.

Champredon

To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before your arrival date.

If the full balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

All payments made, including the initial deposit and any balance payments, are non refundable.

No security deposit is required.

Guests may cancel their booking within 48 hours of making the reservation if the booking was made sufficiently in advance of the arrival date. After this period, all payments made are non refundable.

Please note: All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email. We strongly recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, illness, travel disruption or other unforeseen circumstances.

4. Check In and Check Out

Unless otherwise agreed:

Springhill Cottage and Springhill Studio:

  • Check in: From 4:00pm

  • Check out: By 11:00am

Champredon:

  • Check in: From 4:00pm

  • Check out: By 10:00am

Guests must vacate the property by the stated departure time unless prior arrangements have been made.

5. Occupancy

Only the guests named on the booking may stay at the property.

The maximum occupancy for each property must not be exceeded.

Additional guests may only stay with prior approval from the owners.

6. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

  • Treat the property and its contents with care.

  • Leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

  • Respect neighbours and the surrounding environment.

  • Follow all safety instructions provided.

  • Report any damage or maintenance issues promptly.

Guests may be charged for damage, breakages, excessive cleaning, or missing items.

7. Pets

Pets are welcome at all properties. A maximum of two dogs may stay at each property.

Guests bringing pets must:

  • Keep pets under control at all times.

  • Clean up after them.

  • Prevent excessive noise or disturbance.

  • Ensure pets do not cause damage to the property or grounds.

Additional charges may apply for damage caused by pets.

Assistance dogs are always welcome.

8. Smoking

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any property.

Guests may smoke outdoors only and must dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.

9. Parties and Events

Strict Policy: Parties, large gatherings, stag parties, hen parties, and events are strictly prohibited.

Excessive noise, disturbance, or anti social behaviour may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.

Springhill Getaways properties are located within a peaceful rural environments and guests are asked to be particularly mindful of neighbouring properties.

10. Safety

Guests are responsible for familiarising themselves with all safety information provided within the property.

This includes information relating to:

  • Fire safety

  • Wood burning stoves and fireplaces

  • Swimming pool use (Champredon)

  • BBQ and outdoor equipment

  • Farm and countryside surroundings

Children must be supervised at all times.

Guests use the swimming pool, grounds, woodland, and surrounding countryside at their own risk. Pool safety guidance provided at Champredon must be followed at all times.

11. CCTV

For security purposes, CCTV operates on the main farmhouse exterior at Springhill Farm and monitors vehicle access to the property.

There are no cameras inside any guest accommodation or monitoring private guest areas.

12. Liability

Guests accept responsibility for their own personal belongings during their stay.

Springhill Getaways shall not be liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings.

  • Injury, illness, accident, or death occurring during the stay, except where caused by proven negligence.

  • Interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, utility failures, transport disruption, or force majeure events.

13. Right to Refuse or Terminate a Stay

We reserve the right to refuse a booking or terminate a stay where:

  • False information has been provided.

  • Guests breach these Terms and Conditions.

  • Occupancy limits are exceeded.

  • Behaviour causes disturbance, damage, or safety concerns.

No refund will be due where a stay is terminated due to a breach of these terms.

14. Complaints

If you experience any issue during your stay, please contact us as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.

Any complaints submitted after departure may limit our ability to investigate and address the issue.

15. Website Information

We make every effort to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date.

However, descriptions, photographs, amenities, and local attractions may occasionally change and we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy at all times.

16. Privacy

Any personal information collected through our website or booking process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the country in which the booked property is located. Bookings for properties in England shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Bookings for properties in France shall be governed by the laws of France.

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the booked property is located. Accordingly, disputes relating to properties in England shall be subject to the courts of England and Wales, and disputes relating to properties in France shall be subject to the French courts.
